Why does Tzivos Hashem need your email address?

Tzivos Hashem requests but does not require the parent's email address with each enrollment. The address will only be used in the event a member forgets his/her serial number. The member will then be able to use the email address to retrieve the serial number information. Members from the same family can (and should) use the same email address.
