Each year, 500 lucky children enjoy celebrating Passover and exploring their Jewish identities for 10 days at beautiful campgrounds in the outskirts of Dnepropetrovsk.
Giant festive Seders are held, at which each child receives his or her own Seder plate, enjoys a delicious meal, and happily learns about the Exodus from Egypt.
During the intermediate days of the holiday, the children are delighted by trips to the circus, zoo, and ice-skating rinks.
Throughout their camp stay, the children also revel in having nutritious food at every meal—something they don’t always get at home.
At the end of camp, the children are energized and inspired to help their families observe Passover in the future. |
